Mary got her first agent in 1989 in San Francisco for on-camera work. It was this agent, Quinn-Tonry, who encouraged her to start auditioning for voiceover. Mary was a bit apprehensive as all of her training had only been onstage and in front of a camera, but she listened to her agent and is so glad she did. Because of the uniqueness of her voice, Mary was fortunate enough to start booking VO jobs immediately and make a career out of it by landing national spots for such products as Clorox, KIA, Toyota, MacDonald's, Corbett Canyon, and more. Mary was so successful as a voiceover artist that she was asked to teach VO for a San Francisco casting director for 8 years.
She moved to Eugene six years ago and has landed a few regular accounts such as Edgewater Home Furnishings, Emerald Pool and Patio, and Lane County Working For You, as well as a few one-hit wonders. Mary still does jobs in the SF market through her San Francisco agent.
